The Professional Aviation Maintenance Foundation (PAMF) is pleased to announce the following changes to its board of directors following the retirement of several long-term board members.
PAMF elected Walter Given as the new President, Gerry Goguen, Treasurer, and David Orcutt, Secretary. The newly elected officers have been industry leaders in the aviation industry and have a tremendous amount of experience between them. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience and will be a great asset to the foundation.
PAMF offers thanks and appreciation to outgoing President John Boomhower, Treasurer Karl Florian, and Secretary Pete Ginocchio for their tireless effort and support to the foundation and the industry. Karl and Pete have been board members since the inception of PAMF and John has served as President for the last five years.
Walter Given has worked with McDonald-Douglas, Xerox Corporation Flight Department, and currently works with Jet Support Services, Inc. (JSSI). He has served on the board of directors and as past President of the Westchester Aircraft Maintenance Association (WAMA).
“I am quite honored that the board of PAMF has chosen me to continue the great efforts that our current board and outgoing President John Boomhower have made. I look forward to working more closely with PAMA to continue our joint efforts in supporting the educational needs of our industry,” stated Given.
Gerry Goguen is presently the Executive Vice President for Greenwich Aero Group and was previously Senior Vice President of Customer Service for Dassault Falcon. He was also on the board of directors PAMA for several years.
Dave Orcutt was formerly Vice President of Customer Support for Bombardier and is recently retired. He served on the board of directors for PAMA as well as Chairman.
The Professional Aviation Maintenance Foundation (PAMF) is organized to enhance and improve training and education of individuals engaged in aviation maintenance. Since its formation in 1998, PAMF has demonstrated its commitment to the continuous improvement of the aviation maintenance industry by supporting the education of airframe, power plant, and avionics students who have selected aviation maintenance as a career. Over the past 10 years, the foundation has provided 172,000 US dollars in scholarship funds to 157 students across the US. Learn more about the foundation online at www.pama.org/foundation
