About PAMA
The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association is the premier association for the Aviation Maintenance Technician. PAMA promotes professionalism and recognition for the Aviation Maintenance Technician. PAMA does this by fostering continuous improvement in aviation safety and community through communication, education, representation, and support.
AMT Model Code of Conduct
The AVIATION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT (Code of Conduct) offers recommendations to advance aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs) professionalism.
The Code of Conduct is not a standard and is not intended to be implemented as one. Instead, the Code of Conduct presents a vision of excellence for AMTs. Its principles complement and underscore legal requirements.
The Code of Conduct is intended for all aviation maintenance technicians.

PAMA History
Milestones
August 19, 1972 - First Annual Convention in Pittsburgh, PA, where the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA) was established. William Collister elected first PAMA President.
1979 - Company Members admitted, grow to 80 in a year.
1981 - At Ft. Lauderdale, FL, the first PAMA Trade Show has 30 booths.
1982 - A series of technical seminars is introduced at the Pittsburgh, PA, convention.
